Epembe - White Pages

Epembe is a developing rural settlement and traditional administrative hub located in the north-central part of Namibia. Politically and administratively, it is situated within the Ohangwena Region and falls under the jurisdiction of the Epembe Constituency, supporting local agricultural communities, livestock farming, and localized decentralized government services.

The local environment is characterized by flat sandy plains, open woodlands, and seasonal oshana flood channels typical of the Ovamboland basin. Economically and socially, Epembe relies heavily on subsistence farming, small-scale retail trading, and vital transportation routes connecting to surrounding regional centers:

  • Eenhana: Located to the northwest/west, serving as the regional capital of the Ohangwena Region with advanced commercial, administrative, and hospital infrastructure.
  • Oshikango: Positioned further north toward the Angolan border, acting as a major commercial and trading corridor.
  • Ondangwa: Situated to the southwest, providing primary air and major road transport connections to the rest of Namibia.
