Kalahariplaas is a rural farming settlement and agricultural locality situated in the eastern region of Namibia, closely associated with the arid Kalahari basin ecosystem. Politically and administratively, it is located within the Hardap Region and falls under the governance of the Aranos Constituency (historically administered alongside the greater Aranos and Aminuis farming districts).
The social and economic environment of Kalahariplaas is defined by extensive commercial livestock ranching, particularly small-stock (sheep and goat) and cattle farming, operating within a dry, open savannah landscape. The local farming community relies on nearby Aranos for commercial trade, agricultural supplies, and regional administrative services.
